Simple Advice From Director of Oscar-Nominated Film

Millimeter recently featured a piece on Charles Ferguson, 1st time director at the helm of Oscar-nominated "No End In Sight." The Hartford Courant mentioned that "Ferguson has compiled the most persuasive, well-researched condemnation of Bush's foreign policy to emerge so far in documentary form."

Politics-aside, I was curious about Ferguson's take on the directing experience. In the Jan/Feb 2008 Millimeter Article the director gave this simple advice: "I learned what I regard as the secret of how to do something reasonably competently if you've never done it before, and it's actually very simple. If you hire very good people, and you listen to them, your employees will teach you your job."
